Supported Software

If you're using our Standard or Basic service levels, which don't include proofreading, we generally recommend that you send us a PDF file, if possible. It's the safest format, but doesn't let us make any changes.

For Full service, we prefer that you send a file from one of the following software programs, so that we can make corrections for you. Otherwise, we'll send you a list of suggested changes and ask that you send us a new PDF.

Windows Software

• Adobe InDesign CS5.5 or earlier
• Microsoft Publisher 2010 or earlier
• Microsoft Word 2010 or earlier
• OpenOffice 3 or earlier
• WordPerfect 12 or earlier

Mac Software

• Adobe InDesign CS4 or earlier
• Microsoft Word 2008 or earlier
• OpenOffice 3 or earlier
• Pages '09 or earlier (special instructions if you're using Pages '06 or '08)

Note: If you tend to use non-standard fonts, we may need you to send us a PDF if we don't have the fonts you used, and if they're not freely available.
