Publisher Template for A2 Cards

We can send greeting cards and thank you cards in a variety of sizes:

  • A2 (half-sheet folded in half)

  • A4 (4x6)

  • A7 (5x7)

  • A9 (full sheet folded in half)

All of these sizes can be full-bleed, meaning that there are no white margins around the edges. Alternately, A2 cards are cheaper if you include a 0.25" margin around each edge, since we can fit two of them on a sheet.

Express One-Off Cards

If you want to send a card to a single address, you can do that directly from your prayerletters.com address book, or click the Send a Greeting Card link on the My Account page.

All you'll need to do is upload a picture and enter the message for the inside of the card. We'll do the rest, and you'll get a preview immediately. If we have your signature on file, you can also include it with your message.

Preparing a Greeting Card

Cards can be a little fiddly to get right if you want full-bleed (no-margin) printing. If you just want a photo on the outside and a message on the inside, the easiest thing to do is send us the photo and your message, and we'll take care of the layout for you.

For an A2 card with 0.25" margins, most programs have a template that will handle the layout for you. If not, set your page size to 4.25" x 5.5", and we should be able to take it from there.

For the other sizes, there are two ways to do it:

  1. Set your page size to the unfolded paper size and add 0.25" to the height and width. For a 5x7 card, the unfolded size is 10x7, so you'd enter 10.25 x 7.25.

  2. Starting from a letter-sized sheet, set the margins so that your card will be centered on the page, as shown in the A2 template above. For an A7 card, you would enter 0.75" as the left/right margins and 0.5" as the top/bottom margins.

After that, the key thing is to make sure the photo or background overshoots the final card size by at least 1/8" on the outside of the card, and that it ends exactly at the fold. Once you've done that, the rest is easy.

If you run into any trouble, get it as close as you can, then send us the file and choose Full Service. We should be able to get it the rest of the way for you.
