Are you a software developer in ministry? If so, we think you'll like it here.
Behind prayerletters.com there's a software stack consisting of well over 50,000 lines of in-house code that helps power everything that we do, with most of it written specifically to make it easy for missionaries to communicate effectively and efficiently with their ministry partners.
This software has been in continual development since we started in 2003, with ongoing maintenance and improvements to ensure that we can add new features as requests come in both from missionaries and our staff.
Now, for the first time, we're also making part of our API available publicly so you can interact with our service using your own software.
What would you like to build?
As a proof of concept, we've started by making mailing lists accessible through the API. Support for letters and orders will follow.
We'd like to make the API based on feedback from developers (that's you!), so please get in touch and let us know what you'd like to be able to do. It's quite possible that we'll be able to help you make it happen.
